Feast of the Divine Mercy - April 8, 2018!

The Feast of the Divine Mercy is one of the most anticipated event by the Roman Catholic community. The feast is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, the Octave Day of Easter, that is April 8, 2018.The 50-foot Divine Mercy Shrine, the biggest in Asia is proudly located at El Salvador Misamis Oriental. One of the reasons why the said holy place is highly visited most especially during it's feast is that thousands of devotees from different places wanted to witness the Divine and Supernatural phenomenon of the "dancing sun" appearing during or after the Dawn Mass. This draws a lot of theories and explanations but for the devotees one thing is certain, that God is present and He made himself visible through the miraculous "dancing sun".

That is why I'm also one of the hopefuls to witness the "dancing sun" this year .I woke up 2:00 AM and started travelling to El Salvador City before the dawn breaks so that I could be able to witness the said phenomenon, but I'm just so sad because the "dancing sun " didn't appear. There was a heavy rain the night before the celebration and it also rained even before the Dawn Mass. The rain just stopped during the mass and continued thereafter. For us believers, that is already a miracle and a manifestation that God is really present.Though I wasn't able to witness the "dancing sun" this year, nevertheless,I'm thankful for the encounter. The heavy rain, the muddy and slippery field, the enduring resistance over the crowded place, the long hours standing position, hard to find parking area, all of which really tested our patience and faith.I was there!I'm one with the hopefuls.Hoping to witness the dancing sun next year.
